Where to get laid

There’s nothing like a little Latin love to complete your Roman holiday, and Roman men do indeed live up to their lurking seducer reputation. Boys seem to have more luck with their co-nationals, but Roman girls are getting braver. Take your chances at one of these rowdy disco bars.
Good place for cocktails
Habana (Pantheon. 120 Via dei Pastini. Telephone: 066781983) gets packed with locals and foreigners of all ages, and cocktails get flowing.
Students and twenty-somethings
Trinity College (Piazza Venezia. 6 Via del Collegio Romano. Telephone: 066786472), Nag’s Head (Piazza Venezia. 138b Via 4 Novembre. Telephone: 066794620. www.nagshead.it), and Scholar’s Lounge (101/b Via del Plebiscito. Telephone: 0669202208) are all within ten minutes walking distance of one another and are generally regarded as the quintessential watering holes for visiting students and twenty-somethings. Locals have caught on to the trend and the places are packed wall-to-wall most nights of the week.
Friendly
The mixed crowd at Friends (Trastevere. 34 Piazza Trilussa. Telephone. 065816111) spills out into the Piazza at this Trastevere establishment. Nearby Freni e Frizioni (see ‘Where to Drink’) is also swarming with people. Both have a friendly social vibe.
Sophistication
For a slightly more sophisticated scene, graze the wine bars on Via del Governo Vecchio.
Drunk
For unabashed bacchanalia and everything that comes with it, head to The Drunken Ship (see ‘Where to Drink’).
Live DJs
Anima (Piazza Navona. 57 Via del’Anima) and Le Maison (Piazza Navona. 3 Vicolo dei Granari) are two of the prettiest and most popular clubs with live DJ sets and twenty-thirty-something crowd around Piazza Navona, along with funky cocktail bar Fluid ( 46 Via del Governo Vecchio).
